The College of Law is committed to providing high-quality legal education grounded in legal principles, analytical thinking, practical skills, and ethical values. The college aims to prepare graduates capable of addressing real-world legal challenges through advocacy, research, critical thinking, and lifelong learning, while actively engaging with the judiciary, legal institutions, society, and the global legal community.

Message of the Dean

College of Law at University of Duhok was established in 1997 - 1998 as a scientific department part of College of Economy and Administration, and in the year of 1999 it became an independent College. many rounds of students graduated from this college and granted a bachelor degree in Law. The college aims at providing the society with highly qualified graduates scientifically skilled with theoretical and practical information trained by highly qualified teaching staff with different specialties and scientific titles in different fields of law. The college aims at providing the society with qualified legal cadres capable to work in different state's institutions which serves the society in addition to their important role to work in non- governmental field as lawyers and working in different civil society's institutions. Also, the college aims to strengthen scientific legal skills of the students to participate in practical field through social and legal workshops that the college organize them for its students by relying on well experienced legal cadres in cooperation with our teaching staff to strengthen practical and theoretical skills of the students to be well prepared to provide their humanitarian services to all needed people in the society in a way which better serves the society.
